Performance
Hoover Power Scrub Elite is a heavy-duty carpet shampooer driven by a 10 amps (~1200 Watts) motor, powerful enough to remove deep stains out of carpets and rugs. You get two cleaning modes here – Deep Clean (for periodic deep cleaning) and Quick Clean (for cleaning everyday messes).
Further, there are two washing mechanisms – Wash mode (dispenses solution) and Rinse mode (dispenses only water). The former is used to remove stains and the latter is used to extract solution residue. For cleaning spots on upholstery and stairs, you can use the 2-in-1 antimicrobial tool. It comes with two attachments – a bristle brush and a rubber nub.
Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe features the same motor and washing mechanisms. However, there are no cleaning modes here. HeatForce technology and 360° counter-rotating SpinScrub brushes are also common in both carpet cleaners. The Deluxe comes with three hand tools – stair tool, upholstery tool, and crevice tool. These tools, as the names suggest, are designed for different purposes.

Ease of Use
Hoover Power Scrub Elite renders much ease to users. Since you can easily switch between cleaning modes and washing mechanisms just by rotating the knobs, carpet cleaning becomes an organized affair. The auto-mixing of detergent and water eliminates the guesswork. Further, 1.25-gallon tanks are large enough to last long.
Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe is easier to use than the Elite since you don’t need to worry about switching between cleaning modes. The auto-mixing is present here as well. However, the tank capacity is a bit lower (1 gallon). The cleaning path is also confined to 11.25 inches, in comparison to 12 inches in the Elite.
Hose length (8 feet) and the cord length (20 feet) are the same in both appliances. While the former is sufficient, the latter is shorter than what is available in other carpet cleaners of the same type.
One more thing to note is that both the appliances lack a low-profile foot, thus, restricting your reach to covered surfaces, like the carpet under the table.

The same holds for the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe. The only disappointing aspect is the 2-year warranty on both the appliances. It’s lesser than what you get in most full-sized upright carpet cleaners.

Portability
Hoover Power Scrub Elite weighs around 18.50 lbs, which is moderate in the category of upright carpet cleaning machines. Hence, carrying it around is not an issue for most people, except for the elderly. But when the tanks are full, it becomes very heavy. So make sure tanks are empty when you move it around.
Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe weighs 18.10 lbs, a little lighter than the Elite. So in terms of portability, both are almost at the same level. The ergonomic placement of handles lets you firmly grab the machines.
Talking about the size, both are bulky. Therefore, you need sufficient space to store these appliances. Carrying them in a car can be a problem if there’s no ample cargo space.
