BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One is a basic yet powerful wet/dry vacuum mop, driven by a 4.4 amps (~528 Watts) motor. The appliance is well-suited for thoroughly vacuuming and washing (simultaneously) both hard floors and area rugs (and not carpets) and, therefore, has two cleaning modes – Hard Floor and Area Rug. The microfiber and nylon brush picks up messes efficiently but it’s a task to clean it afterward.
Shark VACMOP Pro is a handy appliance for hard floor cleaning, driven by a 7.8 amps Li-ion battery, rendering 55W of power. The vacuuming capability of the appliance is at par – and better in some cases – than the best-selling vacuum cleaners. VACMOP Pro is a dry vacuum, and for wet messes, it has disposable pads that soak all types of wet spills on the floor. However, VACMOP Pro is not suitable for large spills as pads have limited absorption capability.
My Verdict: If you are looking for a multi-surface cleaner for an extensive cleaning, go ahead with BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One. If everyday regular hard floor cleaning is your requirement, Shark VACMOP Pro should be your choice.
Ease of Use
BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One is designed to clean an entire apartment, including hard floors and rugs. Since it runs on an electrical power supply, you can use it continuously to vacuum and mop. The 25-feet cord and swiveling head facilitate ease of movement. Tank capacities are decent (0.83L for clean water tank and 0.43L for dirty water tank). However, you’ll have to empty DWT twice or thrice maybe, if cleaning an entire house. And for your information, the Area Rug mode consumes twice the amount of water solution than the Hard Floor mode.
Shark VACMOP Pro, on the other hand, is certainly the most convenient vacuum mop for hard floors available in the market right now, if we talk about the ease of use. Magnetic charging, cordless functioning, super lightweight, one-click disposable pads that trap vacuumed dry filth and absorb wet messes, and solution tank (0.35L) that uses only cleaning solution and no water. There’s a button for the spray and a pull trigger for vacuuming. So use the one according to the need. The LED headlamp lightens the dirty track and the swiveling head makes it comfortable to maneuver the appliance.
My Verdict: Shark VACMOP Pro is the undisputed champion in this segment.
Ease of Maintenance
BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One cleans effectively, but it also requires thorough cleaning afterward. You’ll have to throw out dirty water, rinse the tank, wash the filter, clean the nozzle inside out, and wipe the inlet through which the sludge passes into the dirty water tank. Cleaning the microfiber and nylon brush is a hassle as it’s hard to remove pet hair stuck in the roll. But that’s not the case with Pet Pro and Cordless Max as you get tangle-free brush rolls with these two CrossWaves.
Lastly, the rinse and storage tray helps you keep the appliance in place and also cleans the machine after use. However, after a heavy cleaning session, you must clean the CrossWave manually. BISSELL offers a 2-year warranty on the appliance.
Most people assume vacuum mop maintenance is too tiring, take BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One, for example. But we guess they don’t know about Shark VACMOP Proyet! VACMOP Pro is the tool for you if you don’t want any kind of maintenance hassles.
In Shark VACMOP Pro, simply press the button on the bottom-left to discard the used disposable pad. Replace the new one easily by placing the pad on the floor and the vacuum mop over it until you hear a click. No emptying dirty water, no washing, no wiping, no foul smells, and no wastage of time. To charge the appliance, just plug the magnetic charger in and leave the appliance on charging for 3.5 hours. In case of any technical issues, avail the 1-year warranty you get with the purchase of VACMOP Pro.
My Verdict: Shark VACMOP Pro is the clear winner here.
Portability
BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One weighs around 11.5 lbs. In fact, all CrossWaves, including Pet Pro and Cordless Max weigh the same. Carrying them around won’t be an issue for most people, maybe except for the elderly, specially-abled, and pregnant women. The sturdy handle on the top ensures a firm grip. The compact size facilitates ease of storage. You just need to find sufficient space for the rinse & storage tray as the appliance rests on it.
You can also remove the handle after every use by inserting a blunt tip tool like a screwdriver or a ballpoint pen into the small opening on the back and pulling up the handle. Place it back by simply placing and pushing the stem down the opening.
Shark VACMOP Pro weighs just around 3.34 lbs, making it the lightest wet dry vacuum available in the market right now. Hence, anyone can carry it around the floor, upstairs, downstairs, and inside the car. Although VACMOP Pro is a compact unit, it’s good to know that it doesn’t come apart. The only two detachable components are the solution tank and the disposable pad.
My Verdict: Shark VACMOP Pro wins again for its lightweight design.
Versatility
Multi-surface cleaning is one of the unique selling propositions (USP) of BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One. Use it for heavy messes and spills like pet messes & hair, food & beverages, grease, makeup, dirt, grime, mud, and mold/fungus. It works flawlessly on both hard floors (laminate, linoleum, vinyl, solid & engineered wood, marble, stone, concrete, and tile) and area rugs (Berber, frieze, cable, cut-and-loop, plush, and textured). However, for deep cleaning of rugs and carpets, you should consider dedicated carpet cleaners instead of wet/dry vacuums mops.
Shark VACMOP Pro is a dedicated hard floor cleaner suitable for surfaces like laminate, linoleum, vinyl, solid & engineered wood, marble, stone, concrete, and tile. You cannot use it on carpets and rugs. So if you don’t have rugs at home or office, or you don’t clean rugs often (only possible if you don’t have pets!), then you can place your bet on the Shark VACMOP Pro. Note that you cannot use this vacuum mop for large spills or heavy messes as there’s no storage tank here; only disposable pads with a moderate storage cavity.
My Verdict: Overall, BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One wins.
Customer Reviews
Users love BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One for its powerful vacuuming and scrubbing capabilities, lightweight and compact design, and longevity. The affordable price tag is also one of the positives. The only drawback is the cumbersome after-cleaning procedure that demands your time and effort. Further, it lacks a tangle-free brush roll and pet hair strainer, crucial in managing pet messes effectively. However, you can avail these if you buy CrossWave Pet Pro and Cordless Max.
Shark VACMOP Pro users praise it for the sheer convenience it renders at every step – whether it’s about cleaning hard floors, charging the appliance, disposing and replacing pads, or the unbelievably low price tag it comes with. The only constraint is you can’t use it for heavy-duty floor cleaning and it’s not suitable for rugs and carpets. In case of any technical repairs, you’ll need to call the experts. There’s nothing you can do yourself.
Which one will you buy: BISSELL CrossWave or Shark VACMOP Pro?
These two are the most popular wet/dry vacuum mops in the market. While BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One targets multi-surface cleaning, VACMOP Pro is a blessing for hard floor cleaning and maintenance. Based on your requirements, you can buy any or both of them.
Buy Shark VACMOP Pro if you don’t mind shelling out around $100 for a powerful and handy hard floor cleaner for everyday use. In fact, it’s a must-have in your repository of home cleaning tools.
