Detailed Comparison: What’s the difference between RoboVac 30C and RoboVac G30?
Performance
The eufy RoboVac G30 – capable of delivering 2,000 Pa – is more powerful than the 30C. It also has the same 3 cleaning modes. Unlike C30, the eufy G30 has only 1 rotating side brush as one side is occupied by the navigation components. You might think the absence of a rotating side brush may impact the performance. However, it’s not true as the Smart Navigation System 2.0 in G30 detects the dirt-laden path and maps the route accordingly; thereby, vacuuming efficiently.
Ease of Use
You’ve got three options to deploy the RoboVac 30C by switching on the auto clean button on the remote control, on the machine, and in the mobile app. But before that, you need to turn on the main power switch present at the bottom, besides the rolling brush. You can use the remote control and the mobile app to fully control the vacuum cleaner. Ensure you have a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router and not a 5 GHz router for the mobile app to work seamlessly. Once the app is configured with the appliance, you can manage it completely. Four modes of cleaning modes are available here – Auto, Edge, Spot, and Quick cleaning.
RoboVac G30 is similar to 30C when it comes to ease of use. However, the remote control is absent here. You can only turn on the auto clean with a switch on the machine and in the eufy Clean app. The G30 takes commands from Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. This applies to 30C as well. Auto cleaning and Spot cleaning are two settings available in G30. It automatically maps the route, cleans every nook and corner, and returns to the charging base when the job is done or the battery is low.
Ease of Maintenance
The maintenance chores with RoboVac G30 are almost the same as with the 30C. You must clean all the components regularly if you want the machine to function seamlessly. Besides emptying the dust bin, use the cleaning brush provided in the package and a cloth to clean the filters, sensors, charging pins, rolling brush, swivel wheel, suction inlet, and other components. For a detailed procedure, check the eufy RoboVac G30 user manual. So yes, we can say maintenance is easy but time-consuming, for both 30C and G30.
Mobility
eufy RoboVac 30C is literally on its own unless you control it via the remote control or the app. It deploys the bounce navigation technique wherein it moves haphazardly wherever the sensors detect the dirt. Since the machine knows no boundaries, you ought to do the honors. The 13.2-foot boundary strips come in handy here. Just place them and the appliance would take a turn upon detection. When the robot vacuum transitions from the hard floor to the carpet or a rug, it ledges automatically, provided the height is not more than 0.63 inches.
The eufy RoboVac G30 is more organized in comparison to the 30C. The Smart Dynamic Navigation 2.0 feature takes control of the movement. The dual gyroscopes and the location detection system keep track of the changes around and the path ahead, respectively. Simply mark the boundaries in the app and the device will do the job. You can even check the progress report in the app. And when the battery goes down, the machine will return back to the base to recharge. The same applies to the 30C as well.
Sometimes, the machines may behave weirdly. They may not move on the defined path or may get stuck somewhere, especially the 30C as it doesn’t have an intelligent navigation system. In these cases, you’ll have to pick and change their places.
Portability/Versatility
Almost every aspect related to portability and versatility is common between the G30 and the 30C. Even the BoostIQ technology wherein the machine adapts to higher suction power within 1.5 seconds when it moves to the carpet from the hard floor. One minor difference is in the weight. The eufy RoboVac G30 weighs 5.29 lbs, slightly lesser than the 30C. Rest all remains the same. And remember, both robotic vacuums don’t have a mopping mechanism.
