Detailed Comparison: What’s the difference between RoboVac 11S and RoboVac 11S MAX?
Graphical comparison of eufy RoboVac 11S and eufy RoboVac 11S MAX
Performance
The eufy RoboVac 11S is an entry-level robot vacuum with 1,300 Pa suction power, sufficient to gobble dust, dirt, debris, and crumbs found on hard floors, low-pile carpets, and rugs. It’s not effective on high-pile carpets and dark floors, though. The 2 rotating side brushes accumulate filth efficiently, making it easier for the vacuum to suck and deposit it in the bin. You’ve got three modes here – Standard (for hardwood floors), BoostIQ (for low-pile carpets), and Max (for medium-pile carpets). The triple filter system expels and cleans the air, thereby keeping the surroundings dust-free.
Performance-wise, RoboVac 11S MAX fares equally well. In fact, it has better suction (2,000 Pa). It means it’s more effective at pulling out filth residing deep into carpet and rug fibers. However, you’ll experience a noticeable difference in suction power only in the Max cleaning mode. Another difference between the 11S and the 11S MAX lies in the filter. Here you get a unibody filter that offers less resistance to the outgoing air, thereby enabling better suction. Apart from these, the rest of everything is the same, like the cleaning modes and vacuum mechanism.
My Verdict: The eufy RoboVac 11S MAX wins for its greater suction power.
Ease of Use
Besides being one of the cheapest robot vacuums, eufy RoboVac 11S is also the easiest to use. Just deploy it on the floor, sit back, and relax. The machine will sweep the floor and the carpet for you. To switch it on, either press the button present on the unit or use the remote control. Tech enthusiasts will miss the Wi-Fi and mobile app support here. Five vacuum settings – Auto, Edge, Spot, Manual, and Single-room – help you clean an area extensively. It will take time to clean an area, though. It’s because it deploys bounce navigation. There’s no defined pattern and path, only irregular movement.
eufy RoboVac 11S MAX offers the same ease to users with only a couple of subtle differences. First, 11S MAX has only one side brush on the right side, contrary to the two side brushes available in the 11S. Surprisingly, the vacuuming efficiency is unaffected due to this change. The vacuum settings are similar. Instead of the Single-room setting, you get a Quick Clean feature in 11S MAX. In this mode, the robot vacuum runs for 30 minutes before returning to the base. Besides these, the rest of everything is the same, including no Wi-Fi, no mobile app, and bounce navigation technology.
My Verdict: It’s a tie between the 11S and the 11S MAX.

Ease of Maintenance
Maintaining RoboVac 11S and RoboVac 11S MAX is as easy as using them for vacuuming. Just remember to empty the bins once the cleaning session is over. Further, clean the filters, nozzles, and rotating side brushes regularly if you want the machines to work seamlessly. While the triple-filter setup in the 11S is comprised of two parts, the unibody filter in the 11S MAX is a single unit. Don’t wash the filters. Just use a cleaning brush or tap them to remove dust.
Different types of beeps and color indications tell what you need to do to get the RoboVacs up and running. For details, we recommend you to read the eufy RoboVac 11S manual and the RoboVac 11S MAX user manual.
Regular wear and tear require you to replace components after specific periods. For example, the filter and the rolling brush should be replaced in 2 months and 6-12 months, respectively. You get an extra set of rotating brushes (2 with the 11S and 1 with the 11S MAX) and filters in the package. You also get a cleaning tool that helps you keep the components clean. When the machines are low on power, they’ll automatically march toward the charging base for a recharge.
My Verdict: Again, it’s a tie here between the 11S and the 11S MAX.
Mobility
Both eufy RoboVac 11S and the 11S MAX deploy bounce navigation to traverse. Hence, they may take time to cover the entire area. But when doing the job, they leave no stone unturned. The motion sensors embedded in the machines help them glide on the surface and change direction whenever an obstacle obstructs the path. The drop-sensing technology prevents these robot vacuums from stumbling over the staircase.
These RoboVacs are literally on their own unless you control them via the remote control. When the robot vacuums transition from the hard floor to the carpet or a rug, they ledge automatically provided a height is not more than 0.63 inches.
Sometimes, the machines may behave weirdly. They may not move on the defined path or may get stuck somewhere due to space restrictions. In these cases, you’ll have to pick and change their places.
One important aspect to note is that these RoboVacs know no boundaries. Hence, if you deploy them in a large room, they may take forever to clean the space. If you want to create boundaries, you can either close the door or keep obstacles in the path. This way, the robot vacuums will navigate in a confined range.
My Verdict: It’s a tie once again.
Portability/Versatility
Almost every aspect related to portability, versatility, and weight is common between the 11S and the 11S MAX. Even the BoostIQ technology wherein the machine adapts to higher suction power within 1.5 seconds when it moves to the carpet from the hard floor. Both are sleek (2.85 inches tall) and compact. Thus, they can easily crawl under low-lying furniture of height up to 2.87 inches.
You can easily carry these anywhere and store them at any place. They’re perfect for your homes, office, shop, basement, and other places. Talking about versatility, both work well on hard floors, tiles, marble, laminates, carpets, and rugs. However, they only work fine on low-pile and medium-pile carpets and rugs (under 1.02 inches in height). If you require a mopping mechanism, you should consider hybrid robot vacuums as both of these RoboVacs don’t mop the floors.
The 11S and the 11S MAX pick up all dirt, debris, dust, and crumbs generally found scattered in households. However, they struggle to pick up long hair strands as it entangles in the side brushes and the rolling brush. Therefore, either you pick up long hair strands manually or clean the brushes in the midst of a vacuuming schedule for the seamless functioning of the machine.
My Verdict: It’s a tie as there’s hardly any difference between the two.
Customer Reviews
The eufy RoboVac 11S is a favorite of owners who want a sleek and stylish robot vacuum at an affordable price. The users praise it for its vacuuming capability, low maintenance, low noise (up to 55 decibels), ease of use, and value for money. Although people complain about the zig-zag movement during cleaning, it’s not a problem since the machine does the job splendidly. It just takes more time than usual. Also, people say it doesn’t work well on all carpets and rugs. That’s true because it’s only designed for low to medium-pile carpets.
eufy RoboVac 11S MAX shares the same opinions. The users praise it for its efficient cleaning mechanism, ease of use and maintenance, low noise, and attractive price. However, the run time is an issue for some. It’s because the power consumption changes when the surface changes. And in case of battery issues, you can always seek eufy’s help. Although suction is better in the 11S MAX, you won’t feel much difference in the vacuuming capabilities of both 11S and the MAX.
