Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 vs. S5 vs. S7 PRO: This is a comparison review post about the three top-segment Tineco vacuum mops of the FLOOR ONE series.
The Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 is the entry-level vacuum mop in the FLOOR ONE series. Besides being compact and powerful, it has an LED display, app connectivity, and voice support. The intelligent control system automatically adjusts suction and water flow.
Tineco FLOOR ONE S5 is next in line to the S3. The FLOOR ONE S5 has larger tanks, a pet hair strainer, and an edge-cleaning mechanism. These are the three major add-ons.
Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 PRO is the most advanced version in the FLOOR ONE series. It has a 40-minute run time, dual-side edge cleaning, 4 cleaning modes, a SmoothPower self-propulsion system, and much more. Evidently, it’s the best option here.

Detailed Comparison: What’s the difference between Tineco FLOOR ONE S3, S5, and S7 PRO?
Performance
Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 runs on a 220-Watt motor, powerful enough to suck up filth and water from the hard floor surface. You get two cleaning modes here – the AUTO and the MAX. The iLOOP™ Smart Sensor technology, which is present in all three vacuum mops discussed here, detects dirt and filth and automatically adjusts suction power in the AUTO mode (not in the MAX mode) for maximum efficiency. And, honestly, the intelligent suction control works remarkably well. The appliance features a 4,000 mAh Li-ion battery. It has a run time of around 35 minutes in the AUTO mode and 25 minutes in the MAX mode.
Tineco FLOOR ONE S5 has almost similar specifications and, thus, delivers the same performance. One major difference – and an advantage – lies in the edge-cleaning mechanism. The S5 supports single-side edge cleaning, reaching up to 0.4 inches from the corners, edges, and baseboards. Here also you get two cleaning modes (AUTO and MAX), 35-min and 25-min run time.
The third one, Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 PRO, is high on features as well as performance. It’s powered by a 230-Watt motor with 4 cleaning modes – AUTO, ULTRA, SUCTION, and the MAX. You are already aware of the AUTO and the MAX. In the ULTRA mode, the machine dispenses electrolyzed water for deep cleaning. In the SUCTION mode, the machine only vacuums without dispensing the solution. To switch between modes, you can press the control buttons on the handle. In the AUTO/ULTRA/SUCTION modes, the run time is approximately 40 minutes. In the MAX minutes, it’s around 28 minutes. Here you get dual-sided edge cleaning, allowing you to clean up to 0.4 inches on both sides.
Ease of Use
The FLOOR ONE S3 aims at providing effortless vacuuming and mopping experience to the users. Besides splendid performance, the Tineco vacmop ensures ease of use at every step. The LED screen displays notifications related to cleaning modes, battery charge, water tanks, roller blockage, etc. The dirt monitoring loop fluctuates between red and blue, the former denoting dirty floor and the latter confirming clean floor. The app integration lets you monitor real-time performance, listen to voice prompts, troubleshoot, and maintain the appliances. However, you cannot give voice commands here (this applies to all three vacmops).
Tineco FLOOR ONE S5 has got two more convenient features in addition to the ones available in the S3. First, larger capacity tanks (CWT – 0.8L and DWT – 0.72L) ensure uninterrupted longer sessions. Second, single-sided edge cleaning increases cleaning efficiency as you don’t need to clean corners and baseboards afterward. As you can see, the S5 is a notch higher than S3 in terms of ease of use.
The most convenient of the three is the Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 PRO. It has the same capacity tanks and all other convenience features available in the S3 and S5. In addition, the run time is higher (up to 40 minutes), only SUCTION mode is available, head-lit brush to spot dirt and filth, double-sided edge cleaning for efficient mopping at the corners and baseboards, and SmoothPower self-propulsion in forward and backward directions. All these features make the S7 PRO a no-brainer for buyers.
Ease of Maintenance
After every vacuuming and mopping session, cleaning the appliance inside out is important. If you don’t, the residue may damage components and may also cause bad odor and harmful bacteria and mold buildup.
To clean the two FLOOR ONE S3 and the FLOOR ONE S5, empty and rinse DWT, clean and rinse the filter, the floater, and the pet hair strainer (in S5 only). Further, remove and wash the brush roller cover and the brush roller. Use the 3-in-1 cleaning tool that has bristles and a blade to clean the DWT, brush roller cover, brush roller, and chamber. Lastly, place the appliances on the Self-Cleaning Storage Tray and press the one-touch self-clean button to activate the Self-Clean mode. The self-cleaning process will take around 40 seconds to complete.
The FLOOR ONE S7 PRO also deploys the same maintenance procedure with a minor difference. It has two self-cleaning modes. One is the Quick Self-cleaning that lasts around 2 minutes. The other one, Super Self-cleaning, runs for around 6 minutes. Ensure the CWT has sufficient water for the self-cleaning cycles.
Since you get app support and LED display in all three appliances, keeping up with the maintenance becomes easier as you receive prompts through voice commands and notifications. Also, the floating scraper present inside the chamber squeezes the rotating brush to scrape waste water when the appliance is on the floor. As a result, the brush mops the floor efficiently throughout the cleaning cycle. Tineco provides a 2-year warranty on both appliances, which is standard in the category.
Portability
Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 and S5 weigh around 9.9 lbs with empty water tanks. The FLOOR ONE S7 PRO is slightly heavier (11.31 lbs). These appliances are light enough for anyone to move around without much effort. You can recline them up to 142° when cleaning low-lying furniture like coffee tables and couches. The self-propelling system provides the push needed to move the machines forward (also backward in the case of the S7 Pro). To lift the machines, just grab the handles and take them anywhere – basement, upstairs, or downstairs. The handles are not collapsible, though. However, you can detach them easily with the help of a screwdriver. Just insert it to press the spring and release the handles.
Versatility
Dry/wet vacuum and mops are designed for hard floors like laminate, linoleum, vinyl, solid & engineered wood, marble, stone, concrete, tile & grout, and others. The same is true for these Tineco vacuum mops. These appliances work fine on hard floors, leaving them clean, disinfected, shiny, and dry.
Some argue that you can use wet/dry vacmops on rugs and carpets. However, this is not the case, especially with these Tinecos. These are not designed for rough floors like carpets and rugs. Even Tineco says the same. It might clean the surface but you won’t be satisfied because there’ll be leftovers and lots of soaked solution in the carpets.
Talking about the types of stains, you can use Tineco FLOOR ONE S3, S5, and S7 PRO for all new and old stains like pet messes & hair, food and beverages, grease, makeup, dirt, grime, mud, and mold/fungus. However, if some old, dried stains don’t leave the surface, you need to get down on your elbows to scrub the floor.
The single-sided edge cleaning in S5 and dual-sided edge cleaning in S7 PRO are the major differentiating factors. Also, the SUCTION mode in the S7 PRO enables you to just vacuum the floors in case mopping is not required.
Customer Reviews
Tineco FLOOR ONE S5 lies in the sweet spot. It’s powerful, efficient, smart, and easy to use. It has larger tanks and single-sided edge cleaning, two features customers just love. However, some are still not satisfied with the frequent emptying of the DWT. The cost is also a concern for some but the output the machine delivers makes up for paid price.
Which one will you buy: FLOOR ONE S3, S5, or S7 PRO?
Go ahead with the Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 if budget is a constraint and you only need the necessary features.
FLOOR ONE S5 can be your choice if you can spend a little more for larger capacity tanks and single-sided edge cleaning.
The Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 PRO is all you need for extensive vacuuming and mopping chores. You get all features and convenience but at a significant cost.
